  Wow. Impressed with the Marble Slab in SE Calgary.
  
  Staff are super friendly and there is now Poko Popcorn  inside.
  
  Lots of variety of hard ice cream and great specials with choices of waffle bowls and cones.
  
  Pricing is decent ranging from $4-7. Not much sitting area with only three long tables with 6 chairs per table.
  
  Overall great ice cream with great service.

  Was in here last night, and it wasn't really busy. Their might have been 3 or 4 people ahead of us. The service isn't really fast, but they may be due to the fact that they have one price now for cones. It includes all the toppings you want, while in the past I think you had two toppings. It takes longer in some instances to make a cone now, if someone wants a ton of toppings.
  I don't know what it is, but I don't really like paying $5.00 for a single scoop of icecream. It's also $7.00 for a slightly larger scoop of icecream in a strawberry sundae.
  Oh yeah, and it states on the glass guard near the till that if you don't get a receipt that you get a free icecream cone. You have to call a manager to get this.

  This location also has Poko popcorn in it (same company) so you can get ice cream or pop corn, or both, when you stop in. Marble slab is nice for creating custom mixed in treats, I like being able to add the items I want and have them mix it. Service is decent but it can take a while it mix up your order. They recently partnered with AMA for ice cream sandwiches which was nice, I never thought of them for ice cream sandwiches before.

  Very disappointing. I pre-ordered a slab cake for a 90th birthday at Chinook Calgary.  When I went to pick up not ready(having a coffee break instead) so tried to hurry (anxious to get back to her coffee break)to finish so poorly done. No strawberry sauce on top of a strawberry N Cream cake(way too much white icing. Off my list of places to go if anything important is needed as not reliable. Bad feeling from time of placing order.

  Ahhh Marble Slab. Gone are the days when a dose of your double dark choc was all I needed to get that life-is-great sensation. Not sure if you guys changed the recipe or my taste buds matured, but the ice cream is way too sweet and definitely not dark enough. At first I thought it was just me, but then my sister who came here every weekend during Pregnancy #1, also said that everything tastes overly sweet now.
  
  Good news is that Calgary has some great alternatives for local ice cream joints!
